When I was listening to a sermon one Sunday about the power of Jesus' name and our calling as believers to "...go and make disciples..." (Matthew 28:19-20) and "...to be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have..." (1 Peter 3:15), I felt nudged by the Spirit to come up with a way to put the name of Jesus in the public square, challenge believers to share their faith and help those in need. What came to mind was a simple slogan, "Ask Me About Jesus". Nothing spectacular. Nothing earth-shattering. Nothing new really. Now, if we printed that phrase on a shirt and each time a shirt was purchased, we sent another type of shirt to those in need, our goal would be accomplished: the believer would have to be willing to put that shirt on and be prepared to answer the question, the name of Jesus would be in the public square, and a person who needed a shirt would get one. Three birds with one shirt, so to speak. Anyway, it didn't take much for Charlie, Ian and Craig to take that idea and improve upon it and unleash the cause on the world. We pray every day that at least one person will put the shirt on, at least one person will ask, at least one person will see the name of Jesus and at least one person who needs a shirt will get one. One shirt. One message. 6 billion reasons.

When Bub had the idea to create this shirt something ignited in me. I started to imagine children who we're not only protected from the elements, but saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. One shirt has the power to move us to fulfill the great commission. I hope that the Church is inspired & empowered to "go". My adrenaline is pumping with the idea that something as simple as a T-Shirt could have an impact on so many.

It was a Monday morning when Bub entered our meeting amped. He shared with the team a vision that had been put on his heart over the weekend at church. He wanted to start a t-shirt company. Ever since those words came out of his mouth, God has been putting into play some amazing people and opportunities. Daily we are challenged by this shirt. Whether that challenge is getting them printed, the designs of the tag, the material, being able to even call it Ask Me About Jesus, and the biggest challenge of all, "Do I put in on today?" Thats the biggest question, "Do I put it on today?"

Since I have been wearing the shirt, it's convicted me to be in God's word daily. You never know where God is going to firmly place your feet, and you can never know who will be in your path that day. There is something powerful about wearing Ask Me About Jesus. It challenges you to be ready, be bold, and be not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Romans 1:16
